Welcome to Belfort Education (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website www.belforteducation.com (“website”) or using our tutoring services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
Belfort Education provides tutoring and educational support services for learners of all ages. Our services may include:
One-on-one or group tutoring sessions.
Learning resources, worksheets, and exercises.
Assessments and progress tracking.
All services are subject to availability and are provided at the discretion of Belfort Education.
2. Booking and payment
Bookings for tutoring sessions must be made via our Website or directly with our staff.
Payments must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.
Fees are listed on our Website or communicated directly and may be subject to change with prior notice.
Missed or cancelled sessions are subject to our cancellation policy, which requires at least 24 hours’ notice where possible.
3. Tutor engagement and responsibilities
3.1 Tutor assignment process
Clients contact Belfort Education, and we match them with a tutor suited to the student’s needs.
Belfort Education provides tutors with job details, including student age, subject(s), focus areas, objectives, and exam board.
Tutors may accept or decline assignments.
Once accepted, tutors receive client contact details and arrange lessons, copying info@belforteducation.com in all communications.
Any follow-up lessons must also be notified to Belfort Education.
3.2 Tutor agreement and documentation
All tutors are required to read, understand, and sign the Belfort Education Tutor Agreement, which governs their engagement. Tutors must also provide:
Contact details (email, phone, address)
University degree certificate and QTS certificate (if applicable)
Two proofs of address (within the last three months)
Passport or national identity card
Two written references (at least one from a previous employer)
Up-to-date DBS certificate (within the last 12 months) and CV
Bank account details for payment processing
Failure to provide the required documentation or comply with the Tutor Agreement may result in termination of engagement.
4. User responsibilities
By using our services, users agree to:
Provide accurate and up-to-date personal and contact information.
Ensure learners attend sessions punctually and prepared.
Treat tutors and staff respectfully.
Use our services for lawful and educational purposes only.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, worksheets, lesson plans, and resources, is the property of Belfort Education and protected by copyright law. Users may not copy, distribute, or reproduce content without prior written consent.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, which explain how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
7. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide high-quality tutoring and educational resources, Belfort Education cannot guarantee specific academic results.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate services if:
Users violate these Terms & Conditions.
Behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe.
Payment obligations are not met.
Tutors fail to provide required documentation or comply with the Tutor Agreement.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated Effective Date.
